WWII GERMAN HELMET: Civic helmets such as this were issued to the various civic police forces in German during the 1940s, ie civic police, railroad police fire police and so on. These helmets were in use from the mid-1930s until the end of the war.
This is a very fine example, complete with decals (see photographs) and original liner, which, as with the shell itself, is in very good vintage condition.
On the inside of the back skirt a registration number is impressed. This may be complete or part obscured: The number is: ‘DIN14940’. Beneath this there is an impressed symbol.
The liner has a name written in ink, which appears to be: ‘A Jurgenson’. The liner size is faded but appears to be ‘56’.
As with all the items listed on Station 109’s Webstore, this helmet can be viewed and purchased at our shop or online. For more information, email email@example.com.
